Liberty Lake’s Freedom of Choice Elective Program gives campers the opportunity to participate in activities that they like and choose themselves! Our innovative program consists of over 60 diverse and exciting activities, providing campers with an incredible amount of variety. Through our Freedom of Choice Program, campers are able to discover new interests, learn new skills, improve their talents, and have fun doing it!
Our Freedom of Choice Program is for Freshman (grades 1-2), Sophomore (grades 3-4), Junior (grades 5-6) and Senior (grades 7-9) campers. Campers entering Pre-K and Kindergarten are "Turtles" who follow a traditional Camp schedule in preparation for the Freedom of Choice Program as a Freshman. Click here to learn about our Turtles Program.
Here's How it Works

■ Campers receive a listing of the exciting activities to choose from.
■ Families log into our online system to create a “Top 10” list of their preferred choices.
■ Each week, we create customized schedules for each camper, based on their Top 10 Elective Preferences.
■ Each day, campers enjoy their weekly elective choices, as part of their daily schedule. Freshmen enjoy 3 periods of electives, Sophomores and Juniors have 4 elective periods and Seniors have 5!
■ Electives are 45 minutes per day, for five straight days.
■ Each week, campers can update their "Top 10" Elective Preference List, allowing them to have a whole new schedule if they so choose.

Our Central Express picks-up and drop-off system makes getting to and from Camp efficient and cost effective! Based on the location of our Camp families, we have designated numerous shopping centers, schools and parks as "Central Express Locations." These designated drop-off and pick-up spots are strategically selected so that there is most likely an Express Stop near you! We make every effort to include "early" stops, as well as "late" stops on the same routes for the convenience of our Camp families. Our current Central-Express Locations are listed on this page and we are always open to suggestions for new ones.
We also offer families a neighborhood pick up option; however, the availability is extremely limited and entails a tuition surcharge.
All of Our Buses...
■ Are owned, operated and serviced daily by an experienced professional bus company.
■ Are specifically designed to keep your child safe, with the newest safety features available.
■ Have flashing warning lights to alert drivers to stop when your child gets on or off the bus.
■ Are supervised by at least one Camp Team "Bus Captain" who is obligated to attend extra Bus Captain trainings before the start of the summer.

All of Our Bus Drivers...
■ Possess a New Jersey School Bus CDL License and their driving safety records are carefully monitored by the Department of Transportation.
■ Are mature professionals who drive children to school and Camp year round.
■ Are trained to detect mechanical problems and to conduct detailed inspections of their bus.

Fun on The Bus
The Camp day officially begins when your camper steps onto the BUS! Liberty Lakers say "Good Morning" to games, parties, music, prizes and tons of other cool activities, including contests, scavenger hunts and more!

Each week, the Bus Spirit Trophy is given to the bus that shows the most energy, enthusiasm, participation and safety. With an average 20 buses in the running, competition for the coveted trophy gets intense!
As requested by our camp families, stops in red denote our

Our dedication to being a full-service day Camp pays special attention to the hungry tummies of our growing campers! At Liberty Lake, campers are literally "catered to" throughout the day.

Liberty Lake is committed to a HEALTHY food program, including only whole wheat breads, no trans-fat, a fresh salad bar and fruit everyday. We are also a "PEANUT FREE ZONE" and use soy nut butter only!
Additionally, bagels are available in the morning, fresh fruit is available all day, ice pops or ice cream is offered before dismissal and campers love getting Slushies for special occasions. And remember, all food and snacks are included in the Camp tuition!
Campers make their lunch selection each morning with their counselors and when lunch time rolls around, their meal is brought to their table, as ordered, tasty and fresh! Campers are also allowed to get "seconds" if they so choose!

Our Turtles Pre-School Program, for children entering Pre-K and Kindergarten, is an age-appropriate version of our regular Camp Program. The Turtles Program creates a nurturing environment that supports play, exploration and creativity!

Turtle groups are led by experienced adult Team Members, many of whom have a background in early childhood development. Activities are led by adults who understand how our littlest campers learn and play.
Turtles receive the individualized attention that they need throughout the day as Turtle groups are made small (like the campers) with 1 team member for every 4 Turtles, plus an LIT.
Liberty Lake is a "developmental playground" for our Turtles to explore! We encourage the growth of children's physical abilities, social skills and creativity through active engagement in a wide range of activities.

The main distinction between the Turtles and the Freshman Division (entering 1st and 2nd grade) is that the Turtles follow a more traditional Camp program in which activities are predetermined in a set schedule. As Freshman, campers are able to choose their own electives through our innovative "Freedom of Choice" Program.
Turtle Campers receive a special discounted tuition rate and may come 3X per week (Tues-Wed-Thurs), although we strongly encourage 5 days.
Turtle Testimonial
“Every day there was an experience for Jack. He learned new things, made tons of new friends, and grew more in 6 weeks then he did in 3 years of preschool. We were getting notes home from his counselors about how funny he is. Who knew? They saw a side to him that we don't get to see, and they gave us a glimpse into who our son is when not in our care. We were so proud of what we heard and he was so happy that his counselors shared the good things with us”
Please contact us if you have any questions about the Liberty Lake Turtles Program!
