At Liberty Lake Day Camp, giving back to the community is an essential part of who we are. We are more than partners with our camp families—we’re also partners with our surrounding local communities. We undertake a variety of social initiatives each month of the year, including our two-week “Foundation Celebration” during the camp season. And through Liberty Lake’s Teen Leadership Program, we teach that “to Lead Is to Serve.” We give our campers ample leadership opportunities throughout the summer and all year round.
When camp is “out,” we call upon volunteer assistance from our Liberty Lake families, including the campers, to help us run a variety of charitable drives/collections. Volunteering with us during the off-season can add character-building continuity to your child’s life. And, we have a whole lot of fun helping Central/South Jersey residents in need! We’re convinced that those who learn the importance of giving back while they’re young become humanitarians for life. Some of our community initiatives include:
- Seasonal clothing drives
- Blanket drops at homeless shelters
- A coat collection (before winter hits hard)
