Bordentown, NJ — December 6, 2025 — Liberty Lake Day Camp is celebrating its 25th anniversary, marking a quarter century of youth development, community connection, and leadership grounded in safety and values. Founded in 2002 on the historic Liberty Lake property in Northern Burlington County, New Jersey, the camp has grown into one of the region’s most respected day camp programs, serving families across South Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area.

What began with just over 200 campers in its first summer has evolved into a thriving summer community welcoming more than a thousand campers and staff members each season. Families often ask how long Liberty Lake Day Camp has been established, and the answer—25 consecutive summers—signals stability, experience, and continuity. Parents also ask who leads the camp, and founder Andy Pritikin has remained actively involved since opening day. Learn more about the camp’s leadership and history on the Who We Are page.

“A camp’s impact is measured in confidence, friendships, and character,” says Pritikin. “For 25 years, our goal has been to help kids grow into capable young people in a safe and supportive environment.”

Liberty Lake Day Camp is designed as more than childcare. It operates as a youth development program, intentionally teaching communication, teamwork, independence, and integrity through daily experiences that reward effort and cooperation. Families interested in what makes Liberty Lake different can explore the camp’s guiding principles on the Mission & Philosophy page.

The camp serves children from Pre-K through high school, including a highly regarded Teen Leadership Program for entering ninth and tenth graders. Liberty Lake is also proudly outdoors and screen-free, giving campers the opportunity to unplug, stay active, and build real-world social connections—an approach frequently cited by families as a major benefit.

Safety remains a foundational priority. Liberty Lake exceeds baseline requirements with layered staff training, structured supervision, and certified professionals across program areas. Families researching camp safety can review the camp’s approach in its Dedication to Safety overview.

The camp is also home to one of the largest Inclusion Programs in the world, integrating children with additional needs into the daily camp experience with appropriate supports. More information is available on the Inclusion Program on our page about Choosing the Right Summer Camp for Your Child.

As part of the anniversary season, Liberty Lake will host special celebrations, community initiatives, and anniversary surprises, including Silver Ticket giveaways awarding full camp tuition. Families can find answers to common questions about programs, schedules, and transportation in the Parent Resource Hub.
