Dear Campers- Lake Reflections

25 Years of Liberty Lake Memories

Kids having a great time without cell phones
For 25 years, Liberty Lake Day Camp has been the place for young people to hone their character skills and feel a strong sense of community. It's a place where friendships form and memories are made that can last a lifetime. In celebration of our big anniversary, we’re bringing these moments together in one special place. Dear Campers is our testimonial, photo and video archive where current and past campers, staff, and families can share heartfelt stories, timeless tips, and shout-outs that capture the spirit of Liberty Lake.

More than just a memory wall – this is a living tribute to the community that has made Liberty Lake Day Camp a special place to more than 30,000 campers and 5000 staff. Whether you were a camper in 2002, a counselor in 2015, or a proud parent watching your child develop their character and personality or discover their hidden passions- Your Voice Belongs Here!

We come across Liberty Lakers everywhere we go- We’ve got a pro baseball player (Tyler) who repped LLDC on our ballfields, a pro dancer (Josh) who used to dance across the amphitheater stage, dozens of notable musicians who have rocked the Liberty Lake song, an Eagles “Swoop” mascot with two Super Bowl rings, and lots of married couples who met at LLDC- and most of all, we have thousands of awesome, sympathetic, empathetic humans who care for one another- School Teachers, Social Workers, Psychologists, Businessmen, Firefighters, Police, EMTs, Military, everything- WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU, as we celebrate 25 years of Character and Community!

We are told all the time that kids are the best version of themselves at Liberty Lake, that their counselors and group leaders were their first non-family role models, and that LLDC is often the "highlight of childhood" for many. Liberty Lake is way more than a lake, pools, fields, and pavilions- it's about the PEOPLE and the sense of Community, which is why we are eager to hear and read your stories!
