1. Because he gives you hugs out of liking you. He doesn’t give you hugs because he wants us to tell our parents to show our parents that this is a great camp. He has other ways to show us that this is a great camp.
2. Because he was nice enough to enlighten the camp with dogs. This was nice because now, people who miss their dogs at home can have dogs to play with here. Plus, people whose parents won’t allow them to have dogs of their own can now have dogs to play with the whole summer. Andy actually got a new one called Nelly this year!
3. Because he’s willing to listen to people’s opinions. For example, my mom went to a meeting because she works at camp. They had a barbecue at the meeting, and the hamburger buns had sesame seeds on them. But lots of people are allergic to sesame seeds, so my mom politely asked Andy if the hamburger buns for camp could be sesame seed free. Andy listened.
4. Because he gives us a chance to perform what we’ve learned in the week at the assemblies. Like, if we are in dance or rap or guitar or band, then we get to let the whole camp see what we’ve accomplished in the week.
5. Because of course, he created camp! This is important because Liberty Lake has swim, dance, cheer, hulla-ball, the camp play, wiffle ball, wall ball, gaga, etc. Some people don’t want to come to camp for just one thing. They want to come to camp for a variety of things. I can almost guarantee that if you want it, Liberty Lake has it!
