Through our innovative Freedom of Choice elective program, Liberty Lake campers experience their choice of enrichment activities all summer long, one week at a time. As kids ‘age up’ across our divisions, they gain more responsibility for creating their own schedule. Unlike most other camps, Liberty Lakers participate in the activities THEY want to do, and are eager to participate!
- Each week, Campers and Parents look at the upcoming weekly list of elective choices
- They log in to their online ‘CampMinder’ account or ‘Campanion’ app to update their weekly ‘Top 10 List,’ in order of preference
- They show up to camp on Monday morning like Xmas morning, eager to find out what they got!
- They attend Monday’s slate of electives, and 3rd graders+ are given the option to request activity changes for the rest of the week
- Then, they enjoy participating in activities with the other kids their age who have the same interests – it’s a simple concept!
Liberty Lake is proud to have a mixed gender activity program. We have boys at the Dance elective, and girls at Flag Football- Very few camps can make this modern-day “equal opportunity” claim.
The older our Liberty Lakers become, the more choices become available to them. If your child wants something more than typical sports, arts and swim time, may we suggest Fencing, Feather & Fur, Fishing, or joining the Glee Club, Rock Band or Rap Group?
Our staff enjoy teaching at LLDC because they don’t spend much time managing behaviors. With kids choosing their own destiny, they come psyched to participate, learn new skills at their activities. Another secret behind our diverse programming: We hire experienced adults to run electives, not a bunch of high school kids- Sports coaches; art, music, and drama teachers; and other specialty instructors from the greater Philadelphia region.
Instead of cobbling together a crazy-quilt schedule of à la carte specialty camps for each of your kids (sports, theater, art, STEM, etc.), diverse interests can be fulfilled at one camp. Our enrichment-style programming provides a stable summer experience for families- No ridiculous carpool/driving schedules (we do the driving), no fast food or skipped lunches (we do the healthy cooking) and this specialty camp comes complete with swim lessons and undeniable FUN!!
Our customized programming creates proven results we know parents consider just as important as activity choices: opportunities to gain life skills and build character. Liberty Lake’s vibrant, 60-acre village creates bonds of friendship and fosters leadership- All while immersing children as diverse as our programming into an OUTDOOR, SCREEN-FREE experience. It’s the remedy to modern society’s challenges, counterbalancing the high-tech environment and the ongoing pressures of school-year obligations. And, oh yes—it’s super fun!
