Liberty Lake Teen Leadership Program

Sep 7, 2015 | by editor | Camp News, Uncategorized

While Camp is only a few weeks away, it has been the trend for many families with 14 and 15 year olds to sign up for Camp at this time- once they have exhausted the limited possibilities out there-

The Liberty Lake Teen Leadership Program is unlike any other summer camp leadership program in the country. At Liberty Lake, we are committed to teaching young people the skills of life- preparing them for college, and the 21st century workforce. We have created a wonderfully intentional program which for many participants has been life-altering, in a positive, self-actualizing way.

The 9th Grade “Campers in Transition” CIT Program is a hybrid of the Liberty Lake Senior Camper program, and the 10th Grade LIT Program. With one daily period of Leadership Training, and one period of a weekly “Guild” – the entering 9th graders begin their journey to become leaders, while balancing it with three elective periods, free swim, lunch and spirit event. We average about 75 campers in this program each season.

The 10th Grade “Leaders in Training” LIT Program features three periods of training- Daily Leadership Workshops, Daily Teambuilding periods, and Weekly Service Projects- alongside three periods of “internship” periods, which include coaching and mentoring from our staff. Our young leaders also enjoy lunch and free swim, and are issues special Teen Leadership Tee-Shirts and name tags to wear proudly around camp.

Don’t let your Teens sit home staring at screens all summer- Let them be TEEN LEADERS!
