Chapter 1: Alone?

I blink for once. One second they’re here, and the next they’re not. I was with my family getting ready to go hunting. Its hard being a mosquito – no one really likes you besides other mosquitos. I tried figuring out why people don’t like us. Maybe it’s because of how we look or because we drink there blood. The other insects call us mini vampires. My family got ready to go find blood because we were thirsty. “Look a party”, my sister said. It looked as though there was an endless sea of humans. We took this opportunity to go in. My sister got onto a woman’s arm, and she was then sprayed by the same woman. I left. The woman ended up spraying my brother as I was leaving. I was the first and only one of my family to arrive home. I was all alone.

Chapter 2: Mrs. Honey

Bug spray ruined everything. I was so mad. It’s not like we killed the humans. We just used a tiny little bit of their blood – I don’t understand why they get so upset. I flew to my house it felt to empty now that my family was gone. Our home was in a tree by the lake. There was a lot of us so we had a big house. I cried and whimpered. Mrs. Honey flew by and noticed me crying, and she came up next to me. Since she is a bee, she understands how it feels to be misunderstood. To me, she was just a family friend, but her and my mom were very close. Once I explained what happened, she decided to stay and comfort me for a the night. She explained that for us insects life isn’t fair, and that I needed to make the best of the situation and can’t change the past but I can change the future.

Chapter 3: Exploring

I woke up to Mrs. Honey gone. She did leave a note though explaining that she had to collect honey in the morning, and she didn’t want to wake me up. Once again…I was alone
