Through our innovative Freedom of Choice elective program, Liberty Lake campers experience their choice of enrichment activities all summer long, one week at a time. As kids ‘age up’ across our divisions, they gain more responsibility for creating their own schedule. Campers participate in the activities they want to do, and are therefore eager to participate—no ‘Jedi mind trick’ required (because these ARE the activities the kids are looking for…)
Liberty Lake is proud to have a mixed gender activity program. Boys can sign up for Dance, while girls can sign up for Flag Football. Very few camps can make this “equal opportunity” claim.
The older our Liberty Lake campers become, the more choices become available to them when customizing their elective periods. If your child wants something more than typical sports, arts & crafts and swim time, may we suggest Fencing, Feather & Fur, Fishing, or joining the Glee Club, Rock Band or Rap Group?
Our staff enjoy teaching at LLDC because they don’t spend much time managing behaviors. With kids choosing their own destiny, they come psyched to learn new skills and be included in their activities. Another secret behind our diverse programming: We hire experienced professionals to run these electives, not amateur hobbyists.
Liberty Lake employs highly qualified sports coaches; art, music, and drama teachers; and other specialty instructors from the greater Philadelphia region. Instead of cobbling together a crazy-quilt schedule of à la carte specialty camps for each of your children (sports, theater, art, technology & science, etc.), diverse interests can be fulfilled at one camp. Our enrichment-style programming provides a stable summer experience for families- No ridiculous carpool/driving schedules (we do the driving), no fast food or skipped lunches (we do the cooking) and this specialty camp comes complete with swim lessons!!
Our range of programming creates byproducts we know parents consider just as important as activity choices: opportunities to gain life skills and build character. Liberty Lake’s vibrant, 60-acre village creates bonds of friendship and fosters leadership- All while immersing children as diverse as our programming into an OUTDOOR, SCREEN-FREE experience. It’s the remedy to modern society’s challenges, counterbalancing the high-tech environment and the ongoing pressures of school-year obligations. And, oh yes—it’s super fun!
“Exceeded our expectations. See you next summer. We are so happy we chose Liberty Lake!”
