How It Works

Our Community Ga-Ga tournament is more than just a competition – it’s about building confidence and character. Every session kicks off with a short learn-to-play warm-up so that even brand-new players feel at home in the pit. Once the games begin, Liberty Lake staff referees keep the rounds moving smoothly, shouting out great play and great sportsmanship!

At Liberty Lake, we don’t just celebrate the winners – we honor kids who show great character amongst their peers. This special recognitions captures what Liberty Lake Day Camp is all about: Community & Character!

  • Q: When is the Liberty Lake Day Camp Community Ga-Ga Tournament?
    A:

Sunday, March 22. You can arrive as early as 11am, but check-in for the tournament will be at the Liberty Lake office at 11:45. Camp Tours are available from 11am-3pm.

  • Q: Is the tournament open to the public?
    A:

Yes – this is our Liberty Lake Day Camp Community Ga-Ga Tournament. Friends and neighbors welcome!

  • Q: Do first-timers need experience?
    A:

Nope. We start with a learn-to-play warm-up, making it easy for everyone.

  • Q: How are games “scored?”
    A:

For each tournament match (not the warm-up games) the top five players are awarded points based on when they are eliminated from play. So, the winner gets 5 points, second place, 4 points, third place, 3 points, etc. When tournament play ends, points are tallied to determine the Top 3 players in each division, who will participate in the “Tournament of Champions.”

  • Q: How are prizes awarded?
    A:

Staff award them to kids who demonstrate Sportsmanship and Character, not just those who win matches.
