Liberty Lake Day Camp is like no other Day Camp – here’s 50 reasons why

Liberty Lake Day Camp is like no other Day Camp – here’s 50 reasons why:

1. 99.9% OUTDOORS Liberty Lake is an OUTDOOR experience. Campers come home sweaty, dirty, sun-soaked and happy.
2. SCREEN-FREE ENVIRONMENT No cell phones, tablets, handheld games, computers, etc. And it is strictly enforced! It’s a technology detox for our kids (and our staff) here at Liberty Lake!
3. LIBERTY LAKE STAR POINTS Your kids will focus on our five Star Points: Teamwork, Independence, Integrity, Aspiration, Friendship. We inject Character Values and Life Skills into our Summer Camp Curriculum. Your kids don’t know it –  they’re just having fun.
4. DAILY PHOTOS & VIDEOS At Liberty Lake, we’re proud of what we do, and we are happy to give our parents a peek. We post media each night so families can log in to see highlights of every day!
5. CO-ED PROGRAM Liberty Lake is the only large camp that runs 100% Co-Ed activities. So there are boys at Dance, girls at Flag Football – and everyone is HAPPY! Why are we one of the only camps that does it this way? We have no idea, but it’s working. Our Co-Ed inter-camp sports team WON the Central Jersey Camp League Championship a few years ago (the only co-ed team!)
6. LIBERTY LAKE FOUNDATION Liberty Lake helped create a Foundation to work with local youth serving organizations and schools, and to fund “CAMPERSHIPS” to help children experience camp who would not otherwise be able to. We annually raise between $20-30,000 per year through our various events, and support from our Liberty Lake Camp Families. It’s also a great way to teach our campers the value of service, giving back, and paying it forward! – www.LibertyLakeFoundation.org
7. 1000-SEAT LAKESIDE AMPHITHEATER When Andy (a former professional musician) became the owner of Liberty Lake, he immediately built the amphitheater for our epic assemblies. The amphitheater is also used in the NJ Renaissance Faire’s Human Chess Board – and for many weddings and ceremonies each Spring, Summer and Fall!
8. INCLUSION Liberty Lake runs the largest inclusion program at any mainstream camp, serving 100+ kids with additional needs that would otherwise have very few options. With dedicated inclusion staff and protocols, Liberty Lake is the only private camp approved and recommended by the State of New Jersey’s Division of Children and Families, Special Services.
9. CAMPER/FAMILY SURVEYS We make sure we track what we set out to teach. And we have data to prove that our program and star points truly make a difference in the lives of children!
10. STRONG SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE While we are completely ANTI-TECHNOLOGY during the summer with our campers, we embrace social media with our families, and actively post links on youth development, along with beautiful pictures of beautiful campers/staff, videos, and live streaming. Connect with us: FacebookInstagramYouTubeTikTok
11. FRIDAY ASSEMBLY CONCERTS Liberty Lake starts and ends each week with an All-Camp Assembly. Friday Assemblies culminate the week’s electives, with performances from our musicians, dancers, karate choppers, and more! The Assembly ends with a rousing rendition of the Liberty Lake Song, with any last day campers dancing up on stage with us!
12. EXPRESS BUS PICK-UP from over 60 locations. Liberty Lake Day Camp literally picks up campers in FIVE different NJ counties – Burlington, Camden, Mercer, Monmouth, Ocean – plus Center City Philly and Lower Bucks PA!
13. FULL-BLOWN CAMP MUSICAL  5th-9th grade campers who are with us weeks 3-7 can be part of a full camp musical on our lakeside amphitheater stage!
14. EXTENDED HOURS CAMP  At Liberty Lake, we know that our families have all different work schedules, and many (over 100) drop off their kids off as early as 7am, and/or pick them up as late as 6pm. These kids get EXTRA CAMP, in an all-age, “Montessori” type setting.
15. TEXTING PARENTS Liberty Lake uses texting software to let parents know about timely and important info. Plus we can send an email out to everyone in about 30 seconds through our database – 21st century COMMUNICATION is essential to us!
16. EMERGENCY PLAN co-written by the state office of Emergency Management. Liberty Lake works closely with the state and county offices of emergency management, as well as local police and EMS to make sure that any situation has a plan that is known and rehearsed. We own a state-of-the-art camp-wide alert system that covers all 60-acres.
17. BUS SPIRIT TROPHY At Liberty Lake, Camp truly begins when the campers get on the bus. With our unique ‘Fun on the Bus’ program, our Bus Captains + campers compete each week to win the coveted Bus Spirit Trophy, filled with scrumptious Slushie on Friday afternoons!
18. SNACK SHACK with Slushies for birthdays and special situations. All returning campers get an off-season birthday Slushie card!

28. RAP ELECTIVE Campers learn to rhyme during the week – and if they have the courage – perform on the big stage on Friday! – Check out their latest recording online
29. GLEE CLUB Sort of like the TV show – sans the drama – these kids work on a harmonized arrangement of a pop tune each week, along with moves and grooves to perform.
30. ROCK BAND (live, not the video game) Pick up a bass on Monday, and be a part of the band on stage on Friday. There’s nothing like being in an awesome rock band playing your favorite songs!
31. SURVIVAL SKILLS CAMPOUT 100% outside, surviving the elements, cooking over an open fire, and singing songs with 3rd graders and up.
32. DAILY SPIRIT EVENTS Not once per week, not once in a while – EVERY SINGLE DAY is a holiday at LLDC!
33. CAMP-A-PALOOZA It’s an all-day music & arts festival on the second-to-last day of Week 8. Great bands, great music, great art – GREAT FRIENDS!
34. LIQUID SUNSHINE APPROACH Dress appropriately! When it rains at Liberty Lake, the schedule goes on as planned. We teach grit and resiliency, and frankly – kids LIKE playing (safely) in the rain!
35. GREATEST TEEN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM IN CAMPING Made just for 14 and 15-year-olds – NOT a Counselor in Training program, but a legit Leadership Program that teaches teens the skills of life, including Communication, Collaboration, Confidence and Leadership!
36. GREATEST HUMMUS IN CAMPING We can’t give away Chef Stu’s secret recipe, but BOY, is it tasty! It’s plentiful every day at the salad bar, along with fresh sliced melons and more.
