Liberty Lake is like NO OTHER Day Camp – Here’s 50 reasons why:

1. 99.9% OUTDOORS – Liberty Lake is an OUTDOOR experience. Campers come home sweaty, dirty, sun-soaked and happy.
2. SCREEN-FREE ENVIRONMENT – No cell phones, tablets, handheld games, computers, etc- Strictly enforced. It’s a technology detox for our kids (and our staff) at Liberty Lake!
3. LIBERTY LAKE STAR POINTS – Our campers and staff focus on our five Star Points: Teamwork, Independence, Integrity, Aspiration, Friendship. We inject character values and life skills into our summer camp curriculum. Our kids don’t even know it –  they’re just having fun!
4. DAILY PHOTOS & VIDEOS – At Liberty Lake, we’re proud of what we do, and we are happy to give our parents a peek. We post media throughout the week so families can log in to see highlights of every day!
5. MIXED GENDER PROGRAM – Liberty Lake is the only large camp that runs 100% mixed gender activities. There are boys at Dance, girls at Flag Football – and everyone is HAPPY! We are one of the only camps that does it this way, and that’s the way we like it! Our Co-Ed intercamp sports team WON the Central Jersey Camp League Championship a few years ago (we beat the boys!)
6. LIBERTY LAKE FOUNDATION – In order to help underserved families, we created a 501c3 Foundation to work hand-in-hand with local youth organizations and schools, and fund “CAMPERSHIPS” (camp scholarships to a half dozen partner camps) to give more children the opportunity to experience camp who would not otherwise be able to. We annually raise between $20-30,000 per year through our various events and support from our Liberty Lake Camp Families. It’s also a great way to teach our campers the value of service, giving back, and paying it forward! LibertyLakeFoundation.org
7. 1000-SEAT LAKESIDE AMPHITHEATER – When Andy (a former professional musician) became the owner of Liberty Lake, he immediately built the amphitheater for our epic Monday morning and Friday afternoon assemblies. The amphitheater has been used as the NJ Renaissance Faire’s Human Chess Board – and for many weddings and ceremonies each Spring, Summer and Fall.
8. INCLUSION “SUCCESS” PROGRAM – Liberty Lake runs the largest inclusion program at any mainstream camp, serving 200+ kids each summer with additional needs in a supportive, inclusive setting. With dedicated inclusion staff and protocols, Liberty Lake is the only private camp approved and recommended by the State of New Jersey’s Division of Children and Families, PerformCare program.
9. CAMPER/FAMILY SURVEYS – We make sure we track what we set out to teach. And we have data to prove that our program and star points truly make a difference in the lives of children!
10. SOCIAL MEDIA PRESENCE – While we are completely ANTI-TECHNOLOGY during the summer with our campers, we embrace social media with our families, and actively post links on youth development, along with beautiful pictures of beautiful campers/staff, videos, and live streaming. Connect with us: FacebookInstagramYouTubeTikTok, LinkedIn
11. FRIDAY ASSEMBLY CONCERTS – Liberty Lake starts and ends each week with an All-Camp Assembly that culminates the week’s electives, with performances from our musicians, dancers, cheerleaders, and more! The Assembly ends with a rousing rendition of the Liberty Lake Song, with last day campers dancing up on stage with the band!

Liberty Lake employs a full-time certified emergency facilitator, and works closely with the state and county offices of emergency management, local police and EMS to make sure that any situation has a plan that is known and practiced. We own a state-of-the-art camp-wide alert system that covers all 60-acres.
17. BUS SPIRIT TROPHY – At Liberty Lake, Camp begins when the campers get on the bus. With our unique ‘Fun on the Bus’ program, our Bus Captains + campers compete each week with the other buses to win the coveted Bus Spirit Trophy, filled with scrumptious Blue Slushie on Friday afternoons!

28. RAP ELECTIVE – Campers learn to rhyme during the week, and if they have the courage – perform on the big stage on Friday! – Check out one of their recordings online
