Overview of the CIT Application Process

Dear Prospective Counselor-In-Training (CIT),

Thank you for your interest in our CIT program. Being an CIT at Liberty Lake provides an amazingly valuable opportunity to grow as an individual, develop important leaderships skills, and learn how to work with and make a difference in the lives of children. All CIT’s participate in daily training workshops, service projects, assist Liberty Lake Staff in the Camp Program, and receive regular performance feedback from our dynamic team of Teen Mentors.

The CIT application process consists of the following:

  1. *Click here to fill out the online CIT Application form*
  2. We need TWO References: from two adults, using our Online Recommendation Form.  *We do not accept references from family members, friends, or LLDC Staff. Acceptable references include teachers, coaches, supervisors, guidance counselors, neighbors you have worked for, or any other prominent adults in your life.
  3. Email us a screenshot or copy of your latest report card or progress report– Email it directly to teens@libertylakedaycamp.com, or mail/drop it off to: Liberty Lake Day Camp, 1195 Florence-Columbus Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
  4. Fill out the Teen Leadership Program Policy Agreement.
  5. And don’t forget- Parents still need to complete the Camper Registration Application!

  • You will receive a correspondence and decision from us after we have received your application and supplemental paperwork.
